One problem it couldn't solve alone was its ageing telephony infrastructure.

What was your initial telecoms issue, the ‘problem’?

"There were a number of issues. Our old phone system ran on ISDN lines and we had experienced repeated failures in the system which had resulted in lengthy downtime whilst Openreach engineers rectified the off-site problems. We were aware that new ISDN lines would not be available after 2020 and felt that this may limit our opportunities to grow
the telephony system in later years.

"Also, whilst we could manage the call costs, there was nothing that we could do about the fixed ISDN line rentals which was costing a lot more than the calls themselves.”

How did you become aware of IPEX?

"It was via a sales call in the first instance but the conversation went well and we felt IPEX was really making the effort to understand what we do and what we needed.

"That encouraged us to move forward."

What was the solution that IPEX implemented for you?

"We were moved onto a new telephony system using SIP trunks that eliminated the need for the old ISDN lines."

What have been the results of the solution we implemented for you?

"We've seen quite a few improvements almost right away. Firstly, the call quality has improved immeasurably. We didn't actually realise it was so poor until we upgraded.

"The phones are easy to use and the functionality is simple and intuitive.

"The one bill approach has been great, no more multiple bills for different services. Now it's much easier to get a grip on our costs.

"Customer service deserves a mention too. Being able to access qualified, friendly support when we need has been brilliant. We know if we need assistance we can call IPEX and someone is there with an answer.”

"Absolutely. Our new phone system has made a difference in ways we didn't realise we were missing.
